On our way to the bus stop yesterday my nephew Tyler spotted this duck lying in the bushes in the island of the street. My first thought was that she layed there to die. Her head was stretched out and laying down, her eyes were closed and she was breathing very slowly. Of course she picked the worst place to do this as it is right where the kids wait for the bus. Later in the afternoon when the kids got off the bus they checked to see if she was still there and she wasn't but she left behind about 6 eggs, the kids reported. This morning we all had to check again and here I found her like a good little mama laying on her eggs. She looks so much better today and we are all very excited for what is to come. The kids walk right up to her and she doesn't do a thing. I figured she would at least hiss at them but she just looks on and sits and waits! We'll have to give you any updates as we have them!
